Build Your Portfolio Career with Content & Public Speaking
Get in touch with us!
When: Thursday, 1st October, 18:00 - 21:00
Where: Denizen Eiswerk
We all know the principle 'don't put all eggs into one basket'. But in careers and in business, we often do exactly that, betting everything on one job or one venture.
A portfolio career means building income, skills, identity, and purpose across multiple complementary activities.
For example, a product lead who also writes a paid newsletter. An engineer who advises startups. A founder who speaks at conferences and gets paid.
We will start with the two most accessible, highest-leverage domains for professionals: content creation and public speaking. You'll get a brief tour of each, work through an exercise to identify which fits you best, then spend focused time drafting a one-page starter plan: your domain, a first project idea, and your first concrete actions.
A portfolio career can offer creative freedom, additional income streams, new opportunities, and relationships no single job or even a business can offer. If you're employed, it will also help build a skill set that may support your transition to self-employment one day.
Experienced professionals, freelancers, and business owners who want to put their expertise to work beyond one job or one income stream. It's a fit if you:
Darya Kamkalova is an entrepreneur, angel investor, creator and international speaker. She runs programs for emerging and early-stage founders and a community of 1000+ in 34 countries. After more than a decade in corporate (tech & automotive), she hit her glass ceiling and quit. Darya won the Global Startup Award as the Ecosystem Hero of the Year 2026 among 71.000+ applications from 65 countries and 13 global winners.
"I attended Darya's workshop "Content That Converts". I learned how I as a founder can use LinkedIn in a way that it serves me, not burns me out. Finally my profile looks professional - and I got feedback on it during the workshop - so practical and hands on, which I LOVE" — Anja Bauer, Founder
"I loved the workshop on LinkedIn. Personally, it was among the top10 ever for me: I learned a lot, very active and nice atmosphere. Looking forward to the next sessions." — Alexander, emerging founder
"After having hosted/organised and worked at 100s of events, I often feel like I‘ve seen/heard it all. That said, it was a pleasure watching Darya captivate her audience. She clearly knows what she’s doing, and that’s rare in this day and age." — Kushal Singh, operations & community builder
"Thank you very much for that great workshop on LinkedIn. It was really good, on point and inspiring" — Tom Janetzek, bioinformatician
"I finally converted a dream in to a goal. I saw it under a new angle, overcame the fear of the first steps and am ready to implement it" - Katerina, marketer
We'll be a small group to make sure everyone gets the attention and support needed. Expect solo exercises as well as work in pairs and groups.
