You learn how to mount the calligraphy work so that the calligraphy paper gets stronger and flat and the calligraphy looks more beautiful.

When: Thursday, 26th June 18:30-20:00

Where: Denizen Eiswerk

About the event

This workshop is perfect for people who want to learn how to mountg their calligraphy piece in order to display it beautifully.

Calligraphy paper is thin and fragile. Therefore, if you would like to display your calligraphy work or to give it as a present to your friend, it is important to be mounted so that the calligraphy paper gets flat and strengthened and your calligraphy looks more beautiful.

Mounting process:

1) Make the calligraphy piece wet with water

2) Apply a glue (starch paste) to the piece and adhere it to a backing paper

3) Fix the mounted work on the drying board and leave it one day

Dear Participants, please bring your calligraphy work. The size shoud be up to 25cm x 35cm, prefarably. When you would like to bring a bigger piece, please send me a message in advance.

If you don't have a calligraphy work yet and would like to come 30min earlier to make a small calligraphy piece, please let me know in advance.
