🍷 Tired of all the Valentine's Day clichés? 🙄 So are we! 😏
When: Wednesday, 14th February 18:30 - 21:00
Where: Denizen Eiswerk
About the event
Forget the hearts and flowers, and join us at Denizen for a rebellion against the mainstream! 🚀
Instead of the same old, same old, let's indulge in something truly special - a natural wine tasting extravaganza! 🍇🧀
Picture this: Eight (!!!) exquisite natural wines, each more enchanting than the last, paired perfectly with delicious cheese from Alte Milch and fresh bread straight from Markthalle IX.
And who better to guide us through this sensory adventure than Daisy, the queen of all things wine? Not only is she a very knowledgeable sommelier, but also a talented wine producer as well. Those who have been lucky to attend our previous wine tasting with Daisy know - she’s amazing.
Trust us, if you think you don't like natural wines, it's only because you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing the real deal. 🌟
So ditch the hearts, grab your partner, friend, or come solo and bask in your own glorious company, and join us for an evening of sophistication, exploration, and just a touch of rebellion. 🍷✨
See you there! 🍷✨
About the host
The SOMA VINES winemaking project was started by Antoine Lucchesi and Daisy Merrick.
Antoine is originally from Marseille. He studied oenology at the winemaking school in Alsace, France. After some years working for different wineries in Germany such as Sekthaus Griesel and Domaine Brand in France, he joined forces with SOMA to begin making his own range of low intervention wines.
Daisy is originally from Norwich, UK. After years of working in the hospitality industry, she went on to study the WSET Advanced, which led her to London and New York working for well known companies such as Majestic Wine and Chambers Street Wines. After founding SOMA VINES in Berlin, which started as an importing and distributing company in 2018, then further developed into a winemaking project with Antoine. Their first vintage was 2020.
Antoine and Daisy don’t have their own vines right now so they buy grapes from their winemaker friends who work organic and biodynamic, whilst all sharing the same philosophy. In the cellar they work low intervention. Spontaneous fermentation, no fining, no filtration and no added SO2 in the wines.
