Experience an exhibition of layered textures, flowing color fields, and expressive abstraction.

When: Thursday, 23rd October, 18:00 - 22:00
Where: Denizen Eiswerk

About the event

Daniel Jakubowski’s abstract work is shaped by his experience of neurodiversity, where painting serves as both a creative outlet and a means of focus. Engaging in visual art and music allows him to enter states of hyperfocus, offering moments of calm and clarity within a frequently overstimulated inner world. In this way, art becomes a tool not only for self-expression but also for navigating the mental intensity of everyday life.

Jakubowski’s abstract works are distinguished by their aggressive brushstrokes, layered textures, and flowing color fields. These elements represent emotional and energetic tensions, competing and coexisting within carefully composed graphic structures. His limited palettes—mostly acrylic paint and oil pastels on canvas or wood—draw attention to the rhythm and contrast within each piece.

Through instinctive mark-making and repetition, Jakubowski transforms internal dynamics into physical form, creating works that are both visually striking and psychologically grounded.
